It was and it wasn't what I was expecting. Refreshing, funny, honest. The end was hard to watch especially after sitting through most of the movie feeling open and without judgement then being plopped right back into a judgmental, closed off setting.

However it was well worth the watch and exactly the sort of honest and out-of-the-box movie I'd expect Paul Dano to star in. I'd still place Little Miss Sunshine and Ruby Sparks before this one if you're a Paul Dano fan.
