Review of Swiss Army Man (2016) by Jordan R — 30 Jul 2017
This film is odd, really odd but it also happens to be the greatest love story between a man and a corpse that I have ever seen. The film begins with Paul Dano, literally at the end of the line as he prepares to hang himself after being stranded in some undisclosed location for an undisclosed period of time.
Then Daniel Radcliffe washes up on the shore as a dead as a dodo. This completely changes his outlook on his situation as in Daniel Radcliffe's corpse (who he eventually calls Manny) he finds a means of transportation, a water storage device, a weapon and ultimately a best friend.
It's funny, it's weird and it's unlikely to be one I'll watch again but I'm glad I saw it once.
