Review of Swiss Army Man (2016) by Lifeaswe K — 21 Sep 2016
Swiss Army Man is a comedy film directed by Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert and stars Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe on the leading role.
It's really hard to explain the plot of the film so I am not even going to try but if there were two words to describe it would be - weird and funny.
I really liked this film and laughed a lot throughout it while being very much confused about what on Earth is happening on the screen. But surprisingly through those funny moments the movie tells a very compelling story that has a meaning and it is very emotional. The soundtrack composed by Andy Hull and Robert McDowell also helps a lot on some of the scenes and the metaphors that are supposed to be stupid, work so well based on the story that the movie is telling, it is unbelievable just how well it benefited the film itself.
It did honestly feel a bit too long even though it is only 97 minutes, but really overall this is an amazing experience at the movies, with incredible acting from the two main stars and a truly heartfelt well told story that works on so many levels and makes this film better than average.
