Review of Swing Vote (2008) by Daniel K — 09 Feb 2009
The film was certainly entertaining, but it's not the kind of film that will be remembered. It's essentially a throw away fluff piece that purports to be something more. Costner is quite watchable and Patton is beautiful, if not as interesting as she was in Déjà Vu.
The film has some ridiculously funny moments (mainly the political adds targeting Bud), but overall it lacks the meaningful character arc and political message it is aiming for. It's about as good as I expected it to be.
