My favourite Japanese comedy. It's not hard to see why. Reworks the underdog film by mirthfully sabotaging your every expectation of what happens next. Not even 20 seconds goes by without a clever joke, and not a single misfire is evident in the entire film.
In a single stroke Shinobu Yaguchi appears to have perfected the underdog film.
