Review of Sweet Smell of Success (1957) by Steven B — 13 Apr 2011
This has to be one of the most cynical and brutal films I've seen. Everyone in it is a self serving prick, and it's mesmerizing to watch. Tony Curtis burns the screen in every scene, and Lancaster's simmering evil is the perfect foil.
Perfect in nearly every way, and well worth a check out.
