This movie has a bleak look towards the "journalism" of the 50s. Based after Walter Winchell, the newspaper columnist who had great influence over people in Hollywood and in politics. After people saw this movie about the cruel tactics in being this powerful a columnist, soon his power faded.
A good movie with great Burt Lancaster and very good Tony Curtis.
