A great noir-ish drama. lancaster (J.J.) plays a columnist who has an unhealthy attachment to his sister and will do anything to keep other men away. curtis (sidney) plays a slimy amoral press agent that does J.J.'s bidding.
Great performances - in particularly lancaster and curtis - and smart dialogue make this a pleasure to watch.
