Review of Sweet Land (2005) by Christian P — 18 Aug 2007
This film is worth watching for the cinematography alone; not only is Elizabeth Reaser incredible as the German-Immigrant being persecuted by a recovering Post-WWI Middle America, but she learned to speak German flawlessly and has incredible chemistry with the rest of this amazing cast.
Alan Cumming is a weird fit in this film, but it's on the whole a largely overlooked gem which people are sadly missing out on. Netflix that shit!!!
