This is by far the darkest of the recent movie musicals. Sweeney Todd pulls you in with the hope of Benjamin Barker finally reuniting with his daughter, but leaves us with the murder of his wife and himself.
A heartbreaking twist that leaves a memorable mark. It was an excellent film.
