Review of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007) by T W — 08 Jul 2012
I dont know anything about Sweeney Todd so I dont care or want to know how well this could have been. This is a very good dark movie there are a couple of things I didnt like, for example the songs felt same and I wish some of them could have been a little bit more different not to happy to take away the mood like in that one part where the Johnny Depp and Helen Bonham Carter have a picnic in the brightest and happiest part that really takes away the mood.
Some Singing parts felt dumb only 2 as I remember it was lip singing problem and the kid reading the cue cards. The ending is the best ending i've seen in a while. Everyone in the cast does an amazing job.
The sets do look fake at times like a star wars prequel. The ending is so great that it really saves this movie and is the highlight of the movie.
