Review of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007) by Analisa H — 26 Sep 2012

I'll admit I needed a hug after I saw this film due to its ample gore and its depressing ending. However, the production design was gorgeous, the cinematography was amazing, and the performances were fantastic from all! I'll admit, as much as I love Helena Bonham-Carter, her singing voice lacked presence, but at the very least, she was on key and her voice itself was all right.

Johnny Depp was a very pleasant surprise, and he turned out to be just as great a singer as he is an actor. And no, I'm not just saying that because he's hot...this man is genuinely a talented performer.
