Review of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007) by Tyler K — 24 Oct 2015

Great music throughout. An excellent style of artistic flow. Each and every actor appears to be fully committed to their performance. An original story with an unexpected ending, this film was based on the Broadway hit of the same title, and it certainly was an excellent, if not perfect adaptation to the musical.

The film was good, nonetheless, but suffered flaws in direction. Some scenes felt prolonged and forced. Others tended to fit in rather well. The effects were on par. But, if you like Tim Burton and his musical flare, or Johnny Depp and his acting style, then you'll most likely like this movie, as I was fan of both.
