When it was announced that Tim Burton would take on a film adaptation of the Broadway classic there was little doubt in anyone's mind that Johnny Depp would play the title role. Brutal in its blood splattering glory, the A lister can carry a tune, Mrs. Tim Burton, Helena Bonham Carter plays a great Mrs. Lovett and superb casting of Alan Rickman and Sasha Baren Cohen make this a musical to remember.
Bonus points, for all you Buffy fans, keep a shark eye out for a cameo for Anthony Stewart Head as a fan of Sweeneys!!
