Surprising to watch as I hadn't yet learned the premise - this is definitely not your typical musical!!! Sweeney Todd is a revenge-seeking, gloomy, violent, and gory tale. Stephen Sondheim is a lyrical genius and Lansbury is a terrific Mrs.
Lovett!
