Review of Swamp Thing (1982) by Senor C — 08 Mar 2006
I should have enjoyed Swamp Thing more then I did. I mean it has David Hess so evil that he has a snake take a poisonous bite of someone's face & gronk, Nicholas Worth from Don't Answer the Phone, Adrienne Barbeau's sugar boobies firmly on display & pre-Scream Wes Craven @ the helm trying to make a comic book flix.
The problem is this just becomes a constant damsel in distress movie w/ Adrienne Barbeau screaming & Swamp Thing coming to her rescue tossing the villians into the swamp making Swamp Thing sorta a lame super hero.
Worth checking out (especially a Euro print so you get some nudity) if your a B-movie fan for casting but not enough to recommend otherwise.
