Review of Suspiria (2018) by Devaughn B — 11 Dec 2018
Luca Guadagnino directs a bizarre, beautiful remake of the 1977 Dario Argento original, which is actually quite different. Not only is this remake definitely a lot longer than the original, but it's so much more of a visual feast for horror fans. Extremely artistic, but very creepy and bloody as hell, once the witchcraft aspect pops up. This film won't be for everyone that's for sure, and clocking in at almost 3 hours, you may find the material to be a bit too much to sit through.
Dakota Johnson is good in this lead role, but Tilda Swinton playing three different characters, she steals the show, such an amazing performer! Like I said, definitely not a film for everyone, but I dug it.
