Review of Suspiria (1977) by Lloyd D — 15 Nov 2009
Excellant Dario Argento film is one of the very few true scary horror films as it doesnt reply on screaming music nor gimmicks to scare the viewer. Suzy enrolls at a dace collage and finds out that they are killers and worse.
The acting may seem odd but remember that the film was orinialy meant to have children in the film but Argento was told to make the characters adults to aviod scron from his own people. The direction sets the film in garnish colors in a nightmareish way and does brillantly.
The 1st 15 mins esp. the window scene which ranks as one of the most nasty in film history and remember I was 7 years old seeing this and it was my 1st horror film. Plenty of eye candy for the guys with the impressive ladies including the cute lead and the ladies shall enjoy the thin dancer as well as a very unusally good looking doctor who brefly shows up.
Wow love the guys accent.
