Review of Suspiria (1977) by Erica F — 13 Jan 2010
My first experience with Dario took place in watching Demons. So when I reneted Suspiria, I was expecting the same horror gore as that. I was way off. Though Demons is amazing in it's own right (I recently found out that is is "presented by" Dario, not directed), this one seems to have a better production quality as far as suspense and creepiness.
I say that credential lies with the soundtrack. The Goblins do an amazing job of creating an eerie atmosphere for viewers. And the candy colored lighting filters make for drama-filled scenes of terror and stress.
A+, way awesome.
