Review of Suspiria (1977) by Y'ng Y — 01 Jun 2010
Revisiting an old Dario Argento favourite of mine would warrant a reevaluation. It all seems a bit too hysterical with the colours and lighting gone to the point of being psychotropic with wooden acting crew trapped in a 'fairytale' gone bizarrely bad.
It's more tacky than stylish now, although there is still that something special about it that attracts me to this film, the personal slightly weird and atmospheric art-meets-horror vision of Dario Argento.
