Watching "Suspiria" you get the impression that director Dario Argento cared solely for the look and style of his film, while disregarding everything else. And to his credit, this is visually one of the most original, striking, and haunting films out there. But the dialogue sucks and every actor's delivery is at the same time both flat and hammy. The film also has a habit of over-explaining it's already simplistic storyline through long bouts of unneeded exposition. The soundtrack, courtesy of "The Goblins," works well for a while, but it gets really repetitive really fast.
