Review of Suspiria (1977) by Graham L — 27 May 2011
Italian horror reached its stylistic apex with this absolutely unique story of a witch coven disguising itself as a boarding school. All of it - the surreal, violent imagery, the shrieking and bizarre music, the nightmarishly furious editing - adds up to a crazed masterpiece of Italian horror that is impossible to forget and impossible to duplicate.
