Review of Suspiria (1977) by Scott C — 28 Apr 2012
I'm suspiria that this movie is way overrated. I almost didn't last through the first 15 minutes due to the trance-like atmospheric music. A few horrid scenes of stabbing directly into a beating heart a throat-slicing were all that really happened.
Color and sound is Argento's milieu but I would submit that Carpenter mastered this with Halloween. The disc transfer was equally lousy.
