Review of Suspicion (1941) by Tim C — 10 Oct 2009
Maybe the first concentrated character-driven Hitchcock movie I've ever seen. The actor driving this picture, is Joan Fontaine, who earns her Oscar as she leads this movie alongside Cary Grant in a masterful suspense drama about a secluded heiress who falls for a penny pinching gambler then thinks he wants to kill her.
You are completely in Fontaine's character's shoes throughout the whole movie.
