Review of Suspect Zero (2004) by Chloe N — 02 Oct 2008
This movie has a great, exciting, intense storyline that leads to.... nothing. A classic case of: big ol' buildup. At one point Tom Cruise was attached to produce and star in this, and actually *did* produce this, but didn't want his name credited.
... and I gotta say Mr. Cruise, good call. Aaron Eckhart is wonderful as usual (but I'm a little biased), as is Ben Kingsley, but this movie just explains barely enough and doesn't give us a satisfying ending that would make it better.
The cure for classic build-up? Better writing.
