Review of Survival of the Dead (2010) by Jacob P — 19 Oct 2011
4 Weeks since the Dead began returning to life (placing this after Night, Diary and Dawn but before Day and Land). A group of deserters from the Delaware Army National Guard (seen robbing the survivors in Diary of the Dead) learn of Plum Island from exiled Patrick O'Flynn. When they arrive they find themselves in the middle of the feud between the O'Flynns and the Muldoons lead by Seamus. O'Flynn wants to exterminate the Zombies Muldoon wants to keep them around in case a cure is found. Shit of course hits the fan.
Average Zombie movie brought down by some heavy handed bullshit message about people not talking out there differences. Listen I'm all for message films even with Zombies in em, but it becomes apparent that Muldoon is A) a Hypocrit and B) bat shit insane. Why anyone listens to Captn. Nutjob is beyond me. Still some nice gore if thats your thing. Recommended for Zombie fans only.
