This movie is shit. I don't think Romero and 21st century indie zombie flicks mesh all that well. He should drop that digital camcorder and run super fast in the opposite direction like he's got a fuckin' horde on his ass.
Seriously though, Romero's Land of Dead was stellar. I actually thought the man made a killer comeback with that one. The cast was epic (Dennis fucking Hopper & John Leguizamo), the budget was like three times what Survival is, and most importantly Romero had not yet discovered the digital age.
I think if he goes back to 35mm and stops playing around with his new toys, there may just be one more zombie masterpiece hiding in there somewhere. I don't think we should stick a fork in him just yet.
