Small details had me thinking this was directed by a mock David Lynch, and a very weak one at that. When I heard David Lynch's strange voice singing a song as the credits rolled, I decided it was way too coincidental and did my homework.

To my dismay, I found out it was none other than Lynch's daughter herself at the helm. Granted, it's hard to live up to the standards set before any child following in their famous parents footsteps.

Whether musician, director, or whatever. Taken into consideration, this still was horrible. What is even more disturbing is that Jennifer Chambers Lynch elected to mimic her father's style and throw out whatever style she may have (or have not) of her own.

Julia Ormond and Bill Pullman are good actors but even they couldn't save this from completely destructing. The surprise twist wasn't thrilling nor was the "kinky" sex scene thrown in for shock value.

No, simply put, this was the daughter of a great director, employing every tactic possible to pull off a film that was laughable.
