Review of Surveillance (2006) by Cristina P — 20 Dec 2009
Good old Wild at Heart's 'Lynch all over. Seem to say "daddy taught me a couple of tricks". Risky business this of developing a career as a thriller's director without being compared to your father's, Jennifer Lynch.
Anyhow, she made it, and the result is this compact story with all the elements that any fan of the genre will find delightful. Characters are so, so mean and weird, that will let you wondering how this people sleep at night, how will anybody would like to drive on one of those roads where everything seems to go wrong and bloodily bad!
Big surprise was Julia Ormond playing a character she doesn't usually do.
