Review of Surfwise (2007) by Hiroshi M — 28 May 2008
Pretty frickin cool. At the same time inspiring and also a cautionary tale. The old man still surfs, I wonder if I've ever seen him out in Waikiki. It'd be a good double feature with Ramones: End of the Century, both films about a clan led by an iron fisted disciplinarian, the strength as a group is so much greater than the individual but it also has the potential to snuff out the individual.
