Review of Surfwise (2007) by Mary K — 09 Feb 2009
A real life version of Mosquito Coast. At first glance, the adventures of the Paskowitz family seemed harmless and maybe even cool, but it wasn't long before I started thinking that "Doc" was a bit of a monster, and I think that is one of the most important messages from the movie, especially for people who are fond of the bohemian culture: bohemians can be just as domineering and controlling as anybody else.
