Review of Surf Nazis Must Die (1987) by Chris M — 03 Apr 2011
Surf Nazis Must Die is a marvel of 'ambient' film making. The extended shots of surfing, the gentle crash of waves constantly beating against a largely empty beach and the low drone of ambient synthesizer make Surf Nazis a hugely relaxing film to watch.
Its a similar feeling to falling asleep in front of the TV - you're not sure of the plot of the show you're watching as you drift in and out but you're happy to have a little background noise.
The plot is incidental to the experience; just kick back with a beer and chill.
