Review of Superman III (1983) by Christopher Z — 29 Mar 2009
Superman III has its problems such as having a slow first half, and there are too many subplots through out the picture that makes it confusing. It has some good ideas such as Clark Kent going back to Smallville, and having Superman go up against mankind and its machines rather than fight some super villain like he does in parts 2 and 4.
Christopher Reeve is still great as Superman and he gives a memorable performance as the evil man of steel. It is not a great film and is certainly inferior to the first two installments. Reeve does make the film worth viewing at least once.
