Review of Superman II (1980) by Emile H — 25 Apr 2017

Whilst I personally prefer Superman the movie, Superman 2 is a great sequel that carries the story forward with top performances, mostly great effects and plenty of entertaining action.

There are some plot inconsistencies and things that make little sense if you analyze everything too closely but the fun factor and entertainment value mostly make up for such problems.

It's a pity that the final version was ultimately the product of two directors but it still happens to be the best version overall. The story probably needed another draught and the movie doesn't seem quite as stylish or well crafted as it ought to have been, but it's near enough.
