Review of Superman: Doomsday (2007) by Mace R — 01 Sep 2012
After the death of Superman story arc I decided that it would be a good time to put away childish things and start acting like an adult*. Therefore those Superman comic books and storyline became a fond memory for me. Flash forward a bunch of years and two kids later I was excited to see it on screen with my kids. Ha!
The animation is cheap, the vocal talent is lousy (Anne Heche as Lois Lane is highly grating), and the storyline is stripped down to an almost unrecognizable bore. Gone are the supporting super-heroes, the true origins of Doomsday and the apperances of Superman's replacements like Steel. Seriously disappointing waste of time.
* It didn't last very long.
