Review of Superman: Doomsday (2007) by Tom D — 17 May 2008
Actually, a pretty good animated Superman movie.
I ended up watching it mostly out of boredom and curiosity, being vaguely familiar with the Doomsday plot and was pleasantly surprised.
It has some trouble with who exactly it's target audience is, mixing some of the more mature Superman plot lines and some fairly graphic violence with some fairly simplistic bad guys and a slightly too cartoony style.
Even so, it's massively entertaining for an hour and a bit and it's good to see some actual plot and character development in a superhero movie.
It has some some nice cameos too with John Dimaggio (Bender) as a bad guy and James (Buffy's finished and now I really need some cult TV work) Marsters.
Give it a go, you might just enjoy it.
