Review of Superman: Doomsday (2007) by Brian B — 12 Jul 2008
I don't envy comic book movie screen writers; it's hard to stay true to the source material and appease the fanboys yet be inclusive to non-capes and costume junkies and original. Doomsday tries, and there are a lot of nice touches (Luthor's ruthlessness; the black costume; the clone concept) and I respect the adult oriented frankness about adult romance and violence, but it just comes up short.
The absence of other JLA-ers and Anne Heche's weak performance as Lois Lane doesn't help.
