Review of Superman: Doomsday (2007) by Russell B — 16 Dec 2008
Randomly rented this the other night. I've never really liked Superman much, but the "Death of Superman" comic that this was based on is the only comic I ever owned or read growing up....
So there was a little bit of a nostalgic draw to me watching this. Anyway, it's a bit of a mixed bag. The story is ok I guess, and the action choreography is actually very exciting (I mean, Superman really does get the ever-living crap knocked out of him).
..made me want to see what a live-action version might look like. However, some of the character designs are a little awkward looking, and Anne Heche alternates between being adequate and downright annoying as the voice of Lois Lane.
Ugh. All in all though, not a bad way to pass some free time.
