Review of Superman/Batman: Public Enemies (2009) by Tim W — 04 Mar 2012
Probably the weakest of the DC Universe movies i've seen so far, but its still highly entertaining. The movies story is a little weak because they took so much of the original story out of the film and stripped it to a measly 1 hour and 5 minute movie.
The animation is a bit too stylized this time with everyone having gigantic muscles and womens breasts the size of watermelons...it's a nice touch stylistically, but it goes away from the rest of the great animation that the previous DC animated films have presented.
The voice acting is spot on with Kevin Conroy as Batman and Tim Daly as Superman. I enjoyed the action sequences, but because of the short run time they almost just throw a bunch of superheroes at us and expect us to know who they are.
As a casual viewer I didn't recognize everyone, but overall it wasn't a huge deal. I'd say give it a rent its still fun seeing Batman and Superman team up!
