Review of Superhero Movie (2008) by Bob N — 18 Apr 2013

I will admit that I love Spoofs unfortunately as of late spoofs have become the lowest form of movie. The spoof has lost its way since the greats of Naked Gun and Airplane graced the big screen. Rather than shoot for an actual storyline spoofs now a days just throw in random bits with no connection to anything that could be considered a plot.

Superhero Movie gets credit for bucking that trend and actually trying to have the gags follow a storyline but the problem is Superhero Movie just isn't very good. The jokes are bland and the story is way to so close to Spiderman that even for a spoof it seemed the writers were too lazy to try for anything original.

Superhero Movie isn't the worst of modern day spoofs but it doesn't help the genre from returning to its glory years.
