Review of Superbad (2007) by Iwan D — 13 Dec 2013
With it's incredibly sweet ending, it's hard not to like this coming-of-age story that really set the bar high for the it's succeeders. Cera and Hill really work well together and the two symbolize the vulgarity and naivity that are cleverly balanced throughout the film.
The script can sometimes contain a few too many sex jokes, but that's what the film is all about, and in someways, that's what gives it it's charm. It cleverly captures the teenage years, and doesn't try and insinuate that's it's something other than what is.
A film that isn't always laugh-out-loud funny, but a film that puts a very large cheesy grin on your face.
