Review of Super Mario Bros. (1993) by David E — 15 Mar 2015
While this film adaptation of the renown video game is not very loyal to the franchise, some part of me found this film, more or less, "enjoyable". How "enjoyable"? Well, the settings take place in early 1990s NYC (& it's alternate dimension); the acting is quite cheesy, yet "funny" in a way; & the pace seems frantic or rushed.
"The Super Mario Bros." is not very good for diehard fans of the video game & I agree, but it's the kind of guilty pleasure that eases my boredom, nonetheless.
