Review of Super Mario Bros. (1993) by Lynda A — 04 Jul 2014

For being a video game fan, I can nitpick that this live action version of the 1985 video game has NOTHING to do with the classic video game...not at all!
Apart from the plumbers and the villain this is a disgrace on the popular video game and other fans, you can say for a film guy. Despite flashy special effects, Super Mario Bros is a reluctantly, kinda sullen idiotic gimmick. Sure, this film is for kids (maybe, I don't know) and.
'Mario Bros' isn't stern on a reality based concept. Bob Hoskins who looked wonderfully like 'Mario', John Legizamo (Luigi) and Dennis Hooper (King Koopa) all called it a 'nightmare' especially Hoskins later called it 'The worst thing I ever did' and I don't have anything to say about that. This just fails and waste of time and money (the ridiculous $42 million budget on this fungus).
