Review of Sunset Boulevard (1950) by Toby R — 24 Sep 2009
A dark, black film that reflects on the all consuming Hollywood machine. The cynicism is balanced by the achingly witty script of Wilder and the wretched self loathing displayed and acted from the heart by Holden, very much drawing from his personal life.
A truly great film that is impossible to over rate.
