Review of Sunset Boulevard (1950) by Richard S — 19 Jul 2009
Continues my lucky streak of five star movies! First off it starts with a brilliant script obviously infused with paranoia that the author would end his life in the same anonymity of the main character.
The film has so many strengths and things to say that it is hard to seize upon one. Suffice it to say that along with All about eve this is one of the scariest and accurate movie about Hollywood ever made.
