Review of Sunrise (1985) by Marie M — 10 Aug 2007
Poetry in motion. Though lost in the time pre-talkies, this is a masterpiece. The cinemetography was amazing for its 1927 times and still holds its own now (eg. at the fair, absinthe and under the moon).
Watch alongside Zita Swoon's updated score. A song of two humans - the enduring love story, the conflict of country vs city, true love tested by the femme fatale.
