Review of Sunrise (1985) by Lucy W — 23 Feb 2014
What a wonderful and touching film. Murnau is truly a genius, combining several cinematic techniques available at the time in an astonishing work of art. Such a moving and profoundly humane film as this will endure for ages to come, because its heart lies in all of us: love, obsession, redemption.
One of the best pictures I've been lucky enough to watch - and treasure forever.
