Review of Sunrise (1985) by Luke R — 16 Feb 2008
Okay, it has exceptional cinematography and production design. Unfortunately, this film's plot is about as clever and realistic as The Smurfs. For some reason, many critics seem to think that silent films should get a free pass on storytelling, as if good storytelling hadn't been invented in the 1920s or something.
Absurd. But that's off topic. I recommend this picture for film fanatics. Don't bother otherwise.
