Review of Sunrise (1985) by Anne F — 28 Apr 2009
The photography in this Murnau silent film is superb. The film is about a man whose girlfriend persuades him to kill his wife - the silliness of the story that follows can be excused by the cinematography.
It is well worth listening to John Bailey's commentary which gives a lot more information about the techniques Murnau used in this film.
