Review of Sunrise (1985) by John S — 14 Jan 2010
A simple story that takes the viewer through the whole range of emotions. The reason this is such a great movie is the way Murnau shot and edited it. It is so beautiful and clever. Early editing techniques like split screen and double exposure were used to wonderful effect but at the same time not over used to detract from the story.
